Night vision is missing from the menu and I can't include it. Neither from a phone nor from a computer. He used to have it and it worked

Agreed - that is why I tagged the mods.

You might try livestreaming after dark, and see if it engages NightVision or not. If the camera is accessible, you can put it in a dark closet to check this.

I reset the device and all the missing features appeared. thanks
