VMB3000 Internal Error on initial setup?

So when attempting to very first set up the Arlo base station, anytime I get to the "base station found - name your base station" page, whatever I name it it is immediately met with an "internal error" prompt that I can't get past. I've tried power cycling and factory resetting- no luck. Any suggestions?

I tried that almost as soon as I'd finished posting - no luck there either. I also googled Arlo phone number - apparently they stopped offering phone support this month? So, still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, at this point I'm certain I actually *need* an Arlo support member's assistance - I've tried on two phones and a laptop directly wired to the switch the base station is plugged in to, and absolutely zero progress has been made. It's maddening that in order to get help, you have to have a camera on your system, and in order to have a camera, you have to have a base station... which is exactly where my problem is. Can't setup base station due to tech issues, but can't get tech support without base station. This is horrible, Arlo really has have a way to get help to people having issues DURING SETUP
