topic Does the grayed out area when positioning apply to older VMC3030 cameras? in Arlo

The positioning page in the web interface shows a gray area over the top third of the camera's view, and the caption suggests that the camera is not sensitive to motion in this area. Does this apply to older VMC3030 cameras? This wasn't mentioned in the older tech note about positioning.

FWIW, I don't think the camera is completely unable to detect motion in that area, just that it won't detect it as easily. I believe the the older tech note did point out the camera was more sensitive to motion at the bottom of the field of view than it was at the top.

This is something you could test by mounting the camera upside down, and aiming it high, so that people only show up in the grey area. Then try using the motion detection test, and see what it detects.
