Camera not recording when motion is present? Grey icon with red circle should be activated?

My camera is not starting recordings when motion is present. I believe the grey icon with a red circle on the attached picture should be activated. But how?
I dont know which type/name arlo vms3230 is?

The VMS3230 would have 2 of the original Wireless HD cameras - each requires 4 CR123 batteries.

Is that what you have?

Yes. I can live stream by turning it on manually in the app.

Have you checked your active mode to verify that the camera has an appropriate rule? Rebooting the base may be useful.

In the "mode" section it says armed.
Do you know how to get the grey icon on my picture active?

That indicates the camera isn't armed. Did you reboot the base? I would also open and close the battery door on the camera to get everything back to a known state. If still disarmed, I would remove and resync the camera.
