Can i set up arlo through a wireless modem? we dont used fixed broadband.

Is there a way to set up and instal arlo without fixed line broadband. We are renting and don't have a fixed line coming into the house. We do however have and use a wireless broadband modum.

It struck me as odd that it would be needed, for a product which markets itself as being totally wireless. 🙂

You could use you cell phone or cell hotspot device as you Internet access as long as you can attach an Ethernet cable to the device for connecting Arlo. Some routers (I have an Asus RT-N66U) support such modems so you don't have to have cable or DSL connections. I haven't used that capability but I don't see why that wouldn't work.

As mentioned, the BASE unit needs connection to a switch/router via ethernet cable.
