Two step verification incompatible with Which Ipads?

Having stored the Mk 1 Arlo mobile for 2 years I. Finding I cant get a viable Arlo app as on start up it wants to upgrade which it tries and then says incompatible with this iPad 2

going to the browser app leads to it trying to update yet again taking me to the same page the app does ....which is incompatible with this ipad

given the record here I am asking what is the minimum iOS requirement for the arlo app and I have always resisted the subscription mode so all I need is to be able to access the original wifi Arlo camera which I have 2 of....any advice as how to avoid being abandoned without buying more iPads ....

i have an iPhone 6 but its too small a screen to be useful really

any suggestions that dont incolve throwing cash at Apple or Arlo welcome
