Any benefit to upgrade Base Station? Wire-Free camera and Pro camera sometimes misses motion.

I have the original square base station, is there any benefit to upgrading it to one of the newer versions. I have wire free and arlo pro cameras. It also seems sometimes it misses motion. Idk if this is in the base or the camera.
