Do I need the VMB3000 for the cameras to work?

Hi there. My apologies upfront for posting this to this community feedback channel. I wasn't sure which specific location to post, so I'll keep this short.

Just moved into a new flat that has Verisure alarm and camera system. The alarm system works perfectly well, however I am trying to work out if the cameras are working. There is a VMB3000 in the cupboard (not connected or powered on) so I wondering if anyone has any advice on how to start troubleshooting. Do I need the VMB3000 connect for the cameras to work?

Yes, if the cameras are also from Arlo, you need the base as the cameras connect ONLY to the arlo bases. The base needs an internet connection thru Ethernet.

( also if the previous owner removed the base from their account, otherwise it's a paperweight )
