Better quality in settings than actual use

Can someone help me out - I’m using my cameras due to the fact I have gotten a stalker, who believe the way to get my attention is to throw rocks through my living room windows every few months - this is always at night time which is why I need the cameras to work in the dark.

When I’m going into settings I get a really good picture - it’s clear and I can see details, but in reality the quality is really poor. I’ve already set it to best quality in settings.

FYI changing the brightness does nothing to the video quality. It only changes in the settings view.

Is it possible to provide a screenshot of the two picture differences?

Is this occurring on the mobile app & web portal?
