Can't figure out how to start the video recording. It only play as live but no recording. Pls help, thank you!

To manually record while livestreaming, you can hit the circular record button.

For all the other times (for normal operation), you need to set the mode to a mode that has recording rules in place

Thank's for the reply. But I meant how to record the video 24/7 even if the app is not on. What's happening is when I close the app the recording stop. Pls help thank you

There is no 24/7 recording unless

1) you buy the CVR plan

2) only works on ac powered cameras which the Arlo HD ( 4 123 cells ) is not an option

The cameras are "detect motion then record" types which can be armed 24/7 but it is not continous recording, just when motion is detected.
