Alarm siren greyed out (Arlo system)

Have successfully added doorbell and chime to the base station and they seem to work OK, and it calls the mobile. There is no option to trigger the alarm siren on the doorbell (using Arlo app on Android). There is no dropdown arrow. The red shield has an options "Call a friend" and "Activate Siren", but the siren is greyed out and does not operate.

The VMB3000 has no siren - you need the VMB4000 (Pro) base for that.

Ok, but the box on the *chime* says it has an alarm function. It is that function I am asking about. Why is there no configuration showing for the doorbell/chime. Surely there should be a panic alarm function. Or is the chime box not correct?

The alarm function on the Devices tab is only for the base. I haven't tried the alarm for the chime so can't comment but I would think that's totally separate.
