App not working on Samsung Note 3 Android Phone

I am totally going insane over trying to download a working app for my Android phone, I have a Samsung Note 3

I have tried several apps and none are working. I need to be able to access my security cameras on my phone.

Is this the norm or have I wasted a ton of money buying these arlo cameras? Desperatley need some advice!

What is the android version on the Note 3 ?? I believe it requires v5 or higher.

The 3 started with os 4x but I think the last update was in 2015 to 5.
