Have you tried to reboot the base station and test again?

I had to reset the base station and I finally got it to update. Biggest issue was logging into Arlo at all. If you have formerly registered with Netgear (which I had done through purchase of a Nighthawk router a few months ago), Arlo needs you to log in with that user name and password. If you didn't remember the name or password, I don't know how you'd reset a former Netgear account. Sounds simple enough, but I spent hours trying to figure it out. Arlo should have made it clear up front. You can't log into the app without it even if you click on "new to Arlo".
