Arlo detects at a distance of 3 or 20 meters away but not other trucks/buses on public road

My Arlo camera starts recording only when someone appears at a distance of 3 meters from the camera. Now a garbage truck driving on the public road, which is at least 20 meters away from the camera, also takes care of the start of a recording. Other trucks or buses on the public road don't start detection. Does anyone have an idea how that is possible?

The Arlo cameras work on a PIR device to detect motion ( sees IR )...

while the orig Arlo camera has a max range of about 20ft for people, any item like cars are a good reflector of IR and can set it off ,esp in like the am when sun comes from certain angles to the camera.

Best bet is to eliminate the roadway from the FOV and concentrate on the range it will pick up people... basicly, don't try to cover to large an area
