Arlo cameras also require good position.... and maybe raise the sense level.

At my front door, I had to move the camera away from the door( original location ) to a location facing the door...this way it goes off as they approch and as they turn to leave I get an good picture of their face... It has worked well there for 2 yrs now.

We have trouble with one of our camera by our front door. It is activated after someone comes to the door, and by the time it is activated, the person turned around and is leaving. I can also tell this because a cat suddenly appears on the screen, but you don't see the approach. Our other cameras seem to work more quickly when movement is detected. Any ideas would be welcome

A cat has a much smaller IR signature than a person so be careful of comparing apples and oranges.

For a person to be detected early, the motion should be across the FOV, not at the camera. Post a screenshot for suggestions.
