Can't find my download images

When I downloaded an image I can't find it. Where on my computer will it be? I'm using Windows 7

I'm on Windows 10, but in File Explorer mine go to the Downloads folder. Windows 7 probably is the same.

I thought the same thing, but it not there. I have been looking at other folders, but I have not found it.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. If I down load a video I don't have any problems, but if try and download a photo it won't do it.

It may vary according the the browser but using Chrome I find that choosing to download a snapshot image (as opposed to a video) just opens that image in a new tab rather than placing a copy in your normal download folder. You can right-click in that tab and choose to save the image.
