I just keep taking the batteries out and restarting it.

That's not exactly a lot of detail like I asked for.

Opening and closing the battery door is only addressing the symptom. What is the WiFi strength shown for the camera? Is all your firmware up to date? How many walls and floors does the signal have to pass through? ANy mirrors or ductwork in the walls in that path? How about other sources of 2.4GHz (cordless phones, etc.) might be near the base or the camera? Have you tried removing the camera and resyncing it?

I have had this camera for about 4 years and didn't start having trouble within the last couple weeks and yes the firmware is updated.
