How does one use the Arlo(2, Pro, pro2....) without a smartphone or internet?

My log cabin has computer and router..... want to be able to record everything from camera to my computer hard drive.... do I require a DVR/NVR?

I do NOT care for smart phone applications or cloud storage.

Please advise the best way to use an Arlo(recommend Arlo product) for outside security camera recording

I don't understand why EVERY security camera company has all but abandoned non technical users.

I prefer a product with wifi weatherproof camera, with solar charging so that I don't have to swap batteries constantly. And, all I want to do is look at a Windows PC folder with all the events that have been recorded. Why can't it be that simply?
