Its a tradeoff really. Personal preference. The rechargeable lithium batteries are only 650 mah. So they wont last as long as a non rechargeable lithium or alkaline. Some are 1400 mah. But then you have to buy them vs rechargeable.

Hi

Is there a preferred battery for the Arlo camera performance? Lithium vs Alkaline?

Thanks

There are no 123 batteries in alkaline, only lithium. They're rated at ~1400-1500mAH while rechargeables (the good ones) are under 800mAH, depending on brand.
