I just bought and set up my first Arlo system. I get motion alerts, but only in a very small area of where I've positioned the camera–see photo: I only get alerts if motion is in this small yellow circled area. I can walk in and out of the door without an motion alerts or recording occuring. I have the camera set to 100% motion sensitivity, but it still doesn't detect motion when I come in and out of the door on the left and right–which is only 6-8 feet away from the camera.

I am extremely disappointed because this seems like a very straightforward set up. Am I doing something wrong here?

What is the signal strength from the base?

Remove and refit the battery to get it to reset and reconnect to the base.

The camera seems to have a fairly narrow filed of view based on its current position. Also the open doors will block the motion detection of the camera and to a degree the wall on the right hand side near the camera.

As a test, use the magnet to attach the camera to the side of the stove at the other end and see if that improves things.
