Arlo basic/ non pro Live view / live streaming ?

I have the Arlo basic 3 pack. Got it as a gift. Have yet to install it.

I’ve read that it doesn’t live stream. Does that mean the only way to see video on the mobile app is if the cameras are triggered? I cant just fire up the app and see what the cameras are seeing (live view?)

Also can I manually trigger the cameras to record via the mobile app?

Hi, actually you can do a live stream even though you only have the basic subscription. Aside form viewing the motion detected videos, you can always do a live stream on the cameras.

As mentioned you can always live stream from the Arlo mobile app or through the Arlo web client. You can also manually record a live stream by simply clicking the record button in the camera widget while viewing the stream.
