when look at cameras on my iphone it says time to change batteries i did but nothing happens tried to resync but no go

You might need to remove the camera in Settings, My Devices and then resync.

I got message that batteries needed changing even though I changed batteries.Deleted device. Now I cannot add it again.

What precipitated the need to delete the camera versus doing a re-sync?

Re-sync didn't work. Problem was solved when I sent a message to support explaining my problem. All of a sudden my camera software started to update. After that it worked fine.
