USB Light Blinking

Hi it may well have been doing that for a long while so bear with me if it's a silly question at all.

I have only recently noticed that both the Internet light and USB light on my Arlo Base Station (VMB3000) are blinking green steadily. Meanwhile the cameras connected are all working fine. The firmware version is 2.4.6 dated 08/02/2018.

Having read a few posts here and done some googling myself, I understand that the internet light blinking green is normal as a result of the lastest firmware update; however could someone advise me regarding the USB light blinking green constantly. Since no usb recording function is available for Arlo Base Station I just wonder whether the usb light flashing means anything at all?

If the cameras are working fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but it could be an issue if you later decide to add a cmaera and sync it.
