Regardless, the base can support up to 15 cameras. If you can't get more then 5 to sync, I'd suggest removing all devices in Settings, My Devices and start fresh, using the Add Device button in the Devices tab to add the base. Sync the cameras normally, pressing the base sync button briefly (don't hold it).
