We've been complaining about this for a while now. The worst thing is that when the base is offline, the cameras spend all their energy trying to reconnect to the base but can't. The camera batteries can be depletely in under a day.

Hopefully they're working on a fix for this but until that time comes, the above workaround with a wifi connected power outlet is your best option

I am very dissapointed to find after spending a large amount of money on this system that whenever the router drops out momentarily the arlo base station will not reconnect. I’m now away from home for 2 days with no way of resetting the base station and the system is just an expensive paperweight. Hopefully this issue can. be fixed with a firmware update?

if you put a wifi remote power switch between your base station and power outlet, you should be able to remotely reboot your base station after your internet is restored and should have your connectivity back.
