Local usb mp4 are appearing wrong

I am using the Arlo Pro basestation and a 32 GB usb for local storage.

I first tried to view them with my MacBook running high Sierra but the footage is 16x32 making them unable to view with Quickview and QuickTime.

The only solution is viewing with vlc which is ok... but not ideal.

Is there a workaround for this?

It may be being worked on...I'm pretty sure Netgear is aware.

IIRR, something was wrong with the codex of the vids, not reading correctly by some prgms

You could also ask Apple to work on this. Sounds like a decoder issue on their end as well as an encoder issue on Netgear's.
