Sounds more like you need to run a SECOND Base....

( there is no limit/nor location to the number of bases on any level account ... could even be in another state )

So leave the primary base where it is, use an extender for your wifi that has an ethernet port, plug the second base into the extender.... it is the only true way to expand coverage.

You then sync the cameras to the closest base or best signal.

Only down side is each will have to be armed separately .... I actually think it's a plus as I can easy run two schedules for the front vs back yards, YMMV

I have some connectivity issues with external cameras located the greatest distance from the base station. I have looked at a wifi range extender but note the base station needs to be plugged into either the router or the extender at all times. I can't run an Ethernet cable from an extender (or the router) to a relocated base station so the two need to be pretty much co-located as they are now. By adding an extender and shifting the base station to sit alongside I assume I will simply move the problem from one side of the house to the other, right? Any suggestions welcome guys. Thanks.

You could install a second base and attach the closest cameras to the nearest base.

I have this setup at home and it works very well.
