The cameras connect to your base station, not your WiFi network. The further the cameras are from the base station, the weaker the signal strength will get as indicated by the cameras WiFi signal strength indicator.

I recently put in a mesh wifi system and my pods are evenly distributed throughout the house.. Tests show my speed is fast,, like Jimmy Johns. freaky fast, yet when I put Netgear's base station towards the front of the house I get three bars on my cameras to the front but only two bars on cameras towards the back of the house. This reverses when I put the base towards the back.. I'm thinking the base station is crap and needs to be beefed up to transmit a faster signal
