It would be nice to have the ability to customize modes on a per camera basis or have multiple modes working together. For instance: motion detection on outdoor cameras running 24x7 but a main floor indoor camera recording on demand 8-5 M-F, but the main floor pauses 8-5 M-F motion detection and alerts if your phone enters the geofenced area. Not all cameras and their modes should be managed together.

You can accomplish this by setting up Custom modes with custom rules and using the Geofencing and/or schedule features.

The problem is that you cannot have more than one mode active at any given time to my understanding and only one schedule per mode. How would you accomplish having one schedule per camera all active at the same time?

While that's true, you have to think the other way around. Create as many modes as you need for specific situations (all cameras, some cameras, some different assortment of cameras, etc.) and then schedule each individual mode in the time slots desired.
