Solution 1 - don't put it in a tree where the wind blows the leaves around. Leaves do reflect IR.
Solution 2 - Use a Pro and use a Solar panel to keep the battery charged... though you'll probably complain that a solar panel in a tree won't get enough sun.

I dunno. Maybe some common sense would be good to use

I am continuingly receiveng false alerts via the app to what appreas to be shadow tree movements as each 30sec clip reports the same images of tree shadows waiving in the breeze.

Considering the ARLO website advertised these devices to operate on a tree as an example, either ARLO like to promote buying new batteries every seven days at $40+ a pop or this is false advertising for a device that should base its alerts on detected movement accross the IR sensor of actual movement (as a shadow does not cross the IR beam, it shouldnt deteced it as false). Following image from the ARLO Website on potential use? Really!

On the other hand, as this is sold as a 'outdoor' system, IR 'splatter' "Bouncing" off other sources (including the sun (what a joke) should that not be accounted for in the CMOS chip or the PIR sensor setup/system, otherwise where in the outdoors does the sun never shine?. Seriously, either Netgear needs to supply free lifetime expensive batteries or a system that can work out the diference between a moving object across an PIR beam and that of a non-invasive shadow that doesnt actually break the IR beam as a shadow emits no IR?.

Other than 'tape' wht is the solution to either the poor quality product, false advertising or system update?
