topic What to do with original Arlo cameras? in Arlo

Hello,

I bought the original Arlo cameras when they were relatively new. I have since upgraded to the Arlo Pro camera system. I have two original Arlo cameras and a base station. Any creative use ideas?

As a security system, the original Arlo cameras are poor - motion detection is so slow it usually misses the important frames. The Arlo Pro is much improved in this area. Other than putting the original Arlo cameras inside so I can see what my cat is up to while at work, I can’t think of a good use so I figured I’d ask here.

As an aside, if I decided to dispose of them, is there anything I need to do to ensure they don’t somehow appear on my portal again? I recall an old thread where someone started seeing someone else’s home after they had returned their Arlo cameras to a store and they were resold.

thanks!

If you decide to get rid of them, be sure to remove them from Settings, My Devices first. As for just disposing of them, a BFH would work fine before sending them to an electronics recycler.
