Never managing to stay online and quick battery drain suggests there's problem with this cam staying connected with base station thus draining the battery as it keeps trying. Common causes for this are the cam is too far from base station, theres something between the two causing signal interference, something interfering with the wifi between the two and hardware issue. Try putting the cam about 10 ft from the base station with nothing in between to see what happens.

The easiest way to remove the red tint is to open the battery door, wait a minute and close again

Purchase 3 camera set up from Sam's in May. One camera has never stayed online. Batteris drain in 24 hours. Managed to update with latest firmware, still drains batteries. Will not stay connected. One camera is now showing red tinted images. I have read some entries about the red tint, have not tried any of the suggestions yet.
