Is there a specific port that needs opened? The website netgear.com is not blocked.

I recently purchased the VMB3000 for my office. I have gone through the set up process, but when trying to do the new system setup, it keeps telling me that it can't find the base station. I am able to ping the IP of the base station and both the power and internet lights are solid green. We do run our own DHCP server here and I've added the DHCP reservation for our base station to our server. Is there a specific host name that the base needs? I have the same system at my home and found that the IP for my home base station resolves to just VMB3010. Any help is appreciated.

Are you in control of your work network? The usual issue is the work network blocking access to netgear.com. Can you verify that it is, indeed, not blocked? DHCP isn't the issue.

Ports 80, 443 and 123 (http, https, and NTP) need to be open Arlo.Netgear.com.
