      <description>&lt;P&gt;The OEM batteries are very safe if that's what your asking....( cr123 )&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The RCR123 rechargeable batteries can be an issue IF you use poor quality cells from unknown manf's.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A good li-ion 123 cell ( or 16340 ) will have a safety PCB built in to prevent over-discharge, over-charge.... &lt;EM&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;without this there can be a possible fire issue.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Netgear only recommends the Tenergy li-ion cells built to their specs with thess safety features built in&lt;/P&gt;
