It sounds like the positioning of your cameras could be the cause of the issues you're describing. Poor positioning can lead to both missed detection and false detection causing more battery usage than expected.

Consider taking a look at the following article for positioning tips for best performance: Arlo Support How do I position my Arlo Wire-Free or Arlo Pro Wire-Free camera?

I am saying goodbye to Arlo for two reasons:

1. I am sick of replacing batteries every 2 months when a camera worth of batteries is 60% of the cost of the camera.
2. Motion detect is completely useless. Doesn't pick up basic motion irrespective of sensitivity settings but then records non-motion and fills up the library with worthless footage. And basic motion, I am talking cars and people, so big motion not subtle stuff.

Arlo was a great concept but consistently fails to deliver the basics. Bye bye Arlo. If you're passing my house tomorrow check my trash for a whole bunch of cameras and a router. (But you'll need to buy a whole bunch of new batteries!).

i'm glad I wasnt aware of this forum when I bought mine. Yes it has a pretty steep learning curve, and customer service could be better, but I'm 7 months into my system and or my use, the Arlo is the best of several systems I've had over the years. This is not saying its best, or even useful for everybody and every situation.
