ARLO wireless camera not recording movement when behind a window?

Hello I just purchased the ARLO VMS3430-100NAS
came with 4 wireless cameras.

Has worked well, but I have a question.
I placed one camera to monitor the front door.
The camera is placed inside but we have a window near the front door, and it's perfect. I can view the front door using LIVE view on this camera. But we noticed we never get any alerts 10 second videos which are the key to this system when one is away.

The camera will not record anything when it's placed inside behind a window? Why is this? I stand right in front of it, and wave and do all kinds of movement and it still won't click on those red recording lights that normally appear when it's recording.

PIR motion sensors don't work through glass, sorry. You'll have to mount one outside. You can get the one outside to record and also trigger the inside one to record as well if you want

Also, the little red lights you see only come on when it's dark and the camera is recording in night vision mode (as long as night vision is enabled)
