Can't change schedule

No matter what schedule I try to set and save, the two cameras I have set up so far will only record during the 6 a.m. hour. I feel I'm missing some basic step somewhere. I've set the rule for both to record on motion, and then set the schedule for the whole day just to see what hours will work. Both record during that one time frame. Any ideas?

Sounds like the rule and/or mode isn't proper. Can you post screenshots of what you have?

have to figure out how to change and save the schedule. The schedule was there and is not what I need.

Mode tab, click on your base and edit the schedule. Remove all of the existing times if needed. Add a mode and time period. Repeat as necessary. There is no Save on the schedule since once you set the mode and times it's already saved.

when i press the mode tab i dont get an edit option.

Read the FAQs here on how to create and edit your modes. They're fully detailed. Basically, use the mode tab, select your base and edit your modes (Armed by default). Be sure to save any changes.
