arlo android app keeps crashing at startup

The android app on my samsung galaxy s7, when I open it will crash, re-open, crash, etc..., in a loop so fast, that it almost looks like my phone's screen is flashing (at least to anyone far away it would).

For months it use to be that I could just pull up the task switcher, and force close the arlo app, and re-open it and it would work..

For the past few days though I have to to into the settings -> applications -> arlo -> storage -> clear data. every time I pull want to open the app.

which means that all the apps settings are wipped, and I have to do everything from scratch which makes the app practically useless.

last week they put out an update they had to roll back because many had issues. It was suggested to uninstall, and redownload from play store where previous version is now again.

There's a new update out - 2.4.4 which is working fine for Menon multiple devices.
