topic VMS3330 Detecting movement through window in Arlo

I have the 3 wireless camera set up. I had my camera's out side but didn't like the idea of how easy they were to steal. I put them inside on window frames looking at same view as they were outside. Although they were filming they wearnt picking up movement and sending me notifications. Ive put them back out side and they are working fine again. Can anyone please advise?

PIR motion detection systems, like the Arlo uses, won't work thru glass.

As a PS... Only the Q cameras which use pixel based detection will work thru glass
