See who just rang my doorbell

I have glass front door which is covered by a blind on the inside. I want to use the Arlo camera to see who rang my doorbell or knocked on my door. How long does it take to see on my iphone or ipad? In other words, what exactly do I have to do manually? Do I have to log on first? I prefer not to use the motion sensing because my front door is close to front doors of three other units in our building.

It's got more to do with how long it takes you to use the app to take a snapshot or video. A few steps are needed but can be done in less than 30 seconds.

If it takes that long to get a live picture, it would not be too useful for "see who's at the door" purpose.

The actual video statup takes only a second or two. The rest is in getting your phone out, starting the app, and THEN starting the video. There's more to it than just clicking on the live feed or record button unless you're sitting there cocked and loaded.
