&lt;P&gt;I was able to test an S4 with the same Android OS and was able to receive push notifications. The app needs to be signed in and running to receive push notifications. Are you signing out or force closing the app?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just hooked up my Arlo yesterday and have both cameras set to notifiy me when there's movement both via push notifications and email.&amp;nbsp; I'm getting all the emails, but not the push notifications on my device.&amp;nbsp; I checked the settings and it is set to use a sound and flash the LED green, but I never get notified.&amp;nbsp; I have to check my email to see if the detector has been activiated.&amp;nbsp; I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and am receiving notifications for my other apps (Facebook, weather, etc) so I'm not sure what the deal is.&amp;nbsp; Without receiving the push notifications I really have no use of this device and will have to return it if it won't alert me propertly.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for your help!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What OS on the S4? &amp;nbsp;Is it up to date? &amp;nbsp;Have you tried rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app? Don't forget that the phone settings also have to allow Arlo to use push notifications.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Thanks for your reply. My phone is running Android version 5.0.1. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and restarted my phone and it's still just sending me the emails. Luckily I was able to have it send me texts as well which is good, but I just don't understand why it won't give me a normal notification. As far as I know my phone settings are right...I get notifications for my other apps. I do have the app setting checkmarked under Mode, rules, push notifications. May it'll randomly start working at one point.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Did you check the phone settings, too? &amp;nbsp;Look in Apps or Application Manager for Arlo and verify that the notifications checkbox is marked.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I&amp;nbsp;did check&amp;nbsp;that&amp;nbsp;and the box was checked for "show notifications".&amp;nbsp; It must just be my phone (the S4 came out in 2013).&amp;nbsp; I do get text notifications now&amp;nbsp;which are just as good as app notifications,&amp;nbsp;it's just a&amp;nbsp;wierd thing.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for your reply!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
