Arlo and Arlo Pro cameras which use IR to detect motion do NOT work thru glass...Glass blocks IR

Glass will also reflect the IR illumination ....so If you want to only view thru glass it must be turned off at night ( or it washes out the picture )

I have a camera mounted inside my house. Its pointed at my front porch and aims through a big glass window. It rarely sounds an alert even though its within 10' of my front door. Could the reflection of the glass be causing the camera to not send an alert? I have the sensitivity turned up to 100%.

6thanks,

Don.....
