Arlo/Netgear Security System Modes

Got the system set up without much problem. Getting it out of the box was the hardest part.

Now I am getting into the finer parts.

I have 2 cameras set up, one in the house, and one pointed to the car outside.

I am trying to set up for Geofencing on the house camera and use the schedule for the car.

I can't seem to be able to use both.

When I click on Mode, I don't get a list of the 2 cameras but see the Base displayed. This is what I named the Base station at setup.

Did I get it set up wrong right from the gitgo?

Please show what the steps are to do this.

You can ONLY have ONE active MODE running at a time.

To start, take a looks at the FAQs, about custom modes ...you need to split the cameras apart due to the fact as default you only have all on or all off

( and you can schedule a mode and then use it in geozone )

I always forget the name and call geofencing by the name geozone...

I guess I just just have to change the mode in the evening when I only want only the outside camera on.

I am under the impression that the Modes are mutually exclusive.

When the Geofence is checked, isn't the Schedule disabled? It only allows me to check one?

You can manually select a mode, use the schedule to automatically switch modes or use GF. To set up GF, you also get to set what to use when both Home and Away which can be either a mode or the schedule. Try setting up GF - it steps you through pretty easily. Try different things since you can always disable GF and go back to your modes or schedule while you hash things out. You can't break it... 🙂
