The only Arlo cameras that don't require a base are the Q cameras. The Q Plus can also record to an SD card but that's for only when the Internet drops out or for a backup. They're also indoors only.

Is there any way to use an Arlo Pro (or any Arlo product) without a base station? I want to use a camera in a place without power. Could I record just to the SD card?

Got it. And the the Arlo Q Plus requires power, too. They should let the wireless arlo record to SD card only.

Neither will re order to local storage only. The system is designed to record to the cloud and is amply stated that way. Local recording is an optional extra in case Internet access is lost.
