&lt;P&gt;Keep in mind that the advertised battery life is based on 300 seconds (5 minutes) of recording per day.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can change the recording length from the default 10s up to 120s per clip.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you use live view too often or for extended periods or exceed the 5 minutes per day your battery life will be greatly reduced.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Bottom line is that these battery operated cameras are not designed for constant live monitoring.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The Arlo Q and Q plus however do have this option.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Also if you manually start recording, it will time out after 30 min, again to protect the battery life.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
