Night Vision a better understanding

Hi,

Just trying to get my head around night vision.

Is there any benefit to turning off Night Vision during the day with a view to extending battery life?

Or is that not necessary as night vision is "disabled" during daylight?

The 'night" vision or IR illuminators ONLY come on if the light levels are low enough to make the camera switch to B/W

So it makes no difference in daytime or well lite area
