Apps won't detect base station

Just setting up the system, we followed directions as well. The camera's sync okay to the base but the android app will not connect to the base. Could use some help please.

Durng setup the android / ios device must be on the same wifi sytem...after it makes no difference

The appp doesn't connect to the base but to the servers at Netgears side...talking to the base thru the servers.Make sure your using the same name/pw as when you setup the account

I have always founf it easier to setuo on on a PC first and then bring in the apps ( pc connection at https://arlo.netgear.com/ via browser )
