Some Comcast users were having a DNS issue which could result in what you are describing. This issue has now been resolved. Are you still unable to receive updates?

I tried precisely what you suggested overnight last night without success. Neihter hte base station nor cameras updated hte firmware. All firmware is the same as when I purchased new in the box.

Is this solution the only way teh firmware updates, if so it's a poorly designed and thought out.

Thank you for responding. I will be returning this product and find a better system. Arlo and Netgear need to come up with something better.
