We purchased these cameras specifically to monitor pets (cats) when we're not home for extended time. I'm very disappointed with how seldom it's picking up their activity. i've adjusted the sensitivity to 100%, and still, not reliable. my main issue is to see that they're being fed, so one camera is pointing to their feeder, from about 15 feet away. They run to it when food dispenses. it never picks it up. Any tips on getting better results? (and yes, I adjusted the sensitivity within the mode, not just the test area)

i use the cams to monitor stray/outdoor cats that use the feed bowls and heated cathouse on my deck. The cam I have mounted on a pole about 6 ft above ground looking down on the deck will never be set off my a cam but only by a person. The other three that are at floor level or short mounts are set off every time a visting cat comes (rocky raccoon also sets it off). hopefully that can help with positioning

I moved the camera to a few feet away, closer to floor level. The real tests will be their next couple feed times. thanks

btw, you'll find the motion detector works better if the cats are walking across the camera than if they're walking into the camera.
