Yup, the latest app now includes a setting in Settings, under System, for Notifications. By default there's no ringtone assigned.

when i go to my settings...i see system but it is darkened out...it wont let me click into it....

On the Android, click on the MORE or three DOTS in the upper right, settings are changed for the sounds/led/vibrate there ( in the app )

If it is grayed out, do a forced stop then clear the cache of the app, restart it

You don't click on System (which is just a section header) - you look under that for Notifications and click on that.
